Accreditation schemes must ensure that energy assessors are competent and possess the appropriate skills to conduct energy assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To become a member of an accreditation scheme, the energy assessor will need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>demonstrate their competence, either by having a recognised qualification from an awarding body, or approved prior experience and learning equivalent, to the national occupational standard requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maintain appropriate professional indemnity cover<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>update their skills and knowledge regularly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participate in the accreditation schemes\u2019 quality assurance procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>abide by accreditation scheme advice and guidance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Accreditation schemes (Annex A) are responsible for managing energy assessors and for quality-assuring air conditioning inspection reports produced by their energy assessors.
